El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant - Rocky Mount | Fresh Mexican Cuisine & Authentic Margaritas

Second time eating here and I grow more and more impressed by the happy and helpful service team! The food is very fresh and wonderful! High quality and the margaritas are IMPRESSIVE! My favorite is the Organic Margarita.

For starters... the food was GREAT! I mean... it might have been the best burrito I've had from any restaurant. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito with no guacamole. It had steak, lettuce, rice, and Pico de Gallo.... and let me tell you... it was HUGE! I could only finish half of it and it was sooooo satisfying. My bf ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla. It was HUGE and they did not skimp you in the ingredients inside. It was loaded with chicken, cheese and not too heavy on the veggies. The chips and salsa were also really good. We also ordered margaritas. I had a frozen strawberry and he had a peach margarita on the rocks. His was pretty strong and mine was REALLY flavorful. We are completely satisfied and can't wait to go back. My ONLY complaint is that they seemed to be down a bartender. It took forever for us to get our drinks and our server ended up having to go to the bar and make our drinks. That took a solid 15-20min. It was surely worth the wait tho. My goodness!

Let me tell you about the Restaurant. Located on South 301 at very prime location. Always busy. Interior, Ambiance, Service everything deserve 5 stars. Ample parking lot available. We visit this restaurant at least 4 in a month. We all love this restaurant because of food quality. I try different dishes every visit but our the most favorite one is Chipotle Burrito. Taste of every dish is awesome. As soon as you get the place they serve Salsa and Chips. One must try fresh guacamole. Servers are attentive towards their customers. On birthday, if you ask, they sing a song for you.

Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The food was good. The atmosphere was good. There's lots of parking. Full portions of food with lots of meat and very affordable at lunch.

I had the BEST experience eating here while visiting town for a softball tournament. Great atmosphere, awesome service, and incredible food! I definitely recommend checking it out.

The ambience of this place is really good. I started my meal with a fresh guacamole bowl, which is the real deal—absolutely delicious. For the main course, I ordered a mushroom quesadilla and a potato enchilada, with beans, guacamole, and pico de gallo on the side. Everything tasted great, with authentic flavors. Highly recommend this place for a delightful dining experience.

We actually came here twice in one week because we liked it so much. We were traveling and staying in Rocky Mount for the week and had never visited this chain before. Everything was really tasty and the prices were quite reasonable. The only thing I did not like was the sopotillas. They were pretty crunchy and I was expecting them to be pillowy soft. Maybe that was my mistake, but it's how I used to have them somewhere out west.
